FWIW I use System Guardian ( Standby Disk ) Back up daily to a second HD, fully bootable without having to go thru a restore. Much more convenient then restoring from server or disk, and faster. Has saved my bacon more then once ( and my customers ) least amount of downtime of ANY backup SW.

Weird, got a Sony notebook in for service, full drive. I free'ed up 1gb on the boot partition but further investigation shows TWO partitions on what looks like a 20gb drive with a 7,5gb FAT32 boot partition and the rest NTFS WTF. Hesitate to merge these partitions. Curious why Sony did this.

not need activation but certainly had an embedded key. IIRC SP'ing it broke the no activate functionality until you manually replaced some file on the cd with others from the SP. Thus one would assume you could make almost any version no activation assuming you have a legit key to embed. FORC5
