I believe that command works like stopsound does in GoldSrc.

That relates to a question I've always had; Why is stopsound a cheat in the
source engine? At least now I know a command that should have the same
effect.

People would use it to get an advantage in league play by muting
background sounds and such to be able to hear footsteps and other sounds
better. I assume Valve thought that wasn't cool and decided to make it a
cheat command.

But is it valid to block as automatically ban via plugin? Is there a threat
with this commands usage?

It's your server. You can ban anyone for any reason. Besides, it does give
someone an unfair advantage, just as if they used a setting to remove foliage
in some games, or to set the graphics at a level that gives them an advantage
over other players by use of cvars. Personally, I don't know
Like I said, the KAC anti cheat said this: attempting to crash this server
Using that command, so I was just wondering if there's a reason, other than
to crash my server, for someone to use it.

After last weeks update many of our regular player if not all of them are
complaining of lag. I got on last night for a few hours and seen it also. Not
rewind lag, just an annoying low level lag. Twice last night I had people
either disappear and appear in front of me. I read release notes that
The issue being reported is definitely as a result of the netcode
changes. I have witnessed this behaviour on many servers (both DOD:S and
TF2), report by many players, and not solved by turning off the in-game
overlay. For some people it is very sporadic, for others running higher
rates it is
While I applaud Valve's bandwidth reduction (Haven't seen this myself yet), I
could use some help from them on possible rate changes to accommodate this
change.

Maybe there is the same client side lag like in TF2:
Disable the game overlay in the Steam settings, restart Steam and look if it
solve your lag problems.

Maybe KAC doesn't recognize the difference between cheat commands and commands
like this one, so it classifies it as an attempt to crash the server.

A required update for Killing Floor has been released for both Windows
and Linux dedicated servers. All dedicated servers must be updated to be
compatible with the client version now on Steam (and to show in the
server browser). This update includes the following fixes and
improvements.
I am having an issue trying to launch the servers after the update.
Is anyone having the same issues when trying to launch their server?
Here is the output from launching:
f7l...@sc-001:~/testing$ sh launch.sh
