I have no problem with your argument concerning class restrictions, but there

Works just fine on my Windows boxes, though strictly speaking NTFS supports
only hard links. You may need third-party tool like FAR Manager to create them,
as Windows Explorer does not support this feature. Also make sure that your
backup software support it, Windows Backup is fine.
There are several admin plugins that grant client-side command execution, thus
allowing you to (re)set local bindings. But as far as reporting back the
contents of their config.cfg? I haven't found that feature.

If that's ok then your router is preventing your server from being visible.
Check out http://portforward.com/routers.htm to see if they can help you

TY for your quick repy Mike...I did that and even bought the prgram itself ,
for $30.00 , a little more history: I've set the port fowarding in the router
to my internal ip-192.168.0.100:27032 ,
Try setting your DMZ on your router to point to the IP of your
gameserver. This has worked for me in the past when I've needed to
quickly host a game on my home connection.

I run a testbox thru a linksys router and to see it exteranlly you need to use
the -switch (ie: -ip 192.168.1.104 or whatever yours maybe)
Example command line below start a server:
C:\srcds\srcds.exe -game cstrike -console +maxplayers 24 +map
Make sure you have sv_region, and the correct number for the area your in,in
your server.cfg. Also try it with windows firewall off to make sure its not
blacking anything.

Copy and paste the text between the dashed lines into a text file named
steamports.bat, then run the file. The windows firewall ports have to be
open as well as the ones on your router.
