Use the user agent instead of the referrer, maybe some sort of firewall/webwasher clears the referrer. The user agent is always there. This has been passed on to the guys who implemented it, they are looking into it. I have no ETA on a fix (as we don't know what is causing the problem yet).

I don't think there will be dedicated servers. It's only 4 player coop. The players will open a listen server and starts playing. Players can join the game via a lobby system. Just a question I know a few admin's may have, is Left 4 Dead using the orange box engine or at least an advanced

The group lobbies already exist, we have the Steam Groups on steamcommunity.com These groups needs to be linked to the match making system. The owner of the group should be able to add server IPs to his group and voila, we are done. Does anyone else think that having a Group lobby for L4D
