I also thought I read on here somewhere that data sets in the IPL time linklist should never be deleted. You might have been thinking of PDSEs. It was not possible to delete PDSEs that were in the IPL-time LNKLST. That restriction has been lifted as of z/OS 1.8. How is a move less of a concern
