I'm doing this but was thinking there may/probably is a better way:

If you are z/OS 2.3, or earlier, then you can use PDSEGEN (CBTTape file 969)
to see those 'ghost' generations and easily recover them.
If you are z/OS 2.4 or 2.5 then hope you have HSM backups or some other
backup system.

You may need to uninstall Teams and then go to the Microsoft App Store and

I'm assuming (and I know the danger of doing that) that you are using TSO in
batch since you mention TSOLIB.
Check out the STEPLIB command on www.cbttape.org in file 452. If nothing
else you can look at the source code to see how it does it.

True enough - and one more thing is that while IBM supports member generations,
they DO NOT support them via JCL, dynamic allocation, or the majority of their
utilities/tools. And don't even try to find them in zExplorer, ZOWE, or ZOAU
(or is it ZAOU?).

overlaid.
