Only if you want to use the catalog to find the datasets later. And you should

Hi all
We use BCPII HWICmd LOAD one LPAR by SYSREXX to IPL it.
Everytime we run the sysrexx the first time, the retcd=100.
and then we run the same sysrexx ,the PLAR can be IPLed.
every time the hwiconn status is always 0.
Why do we have to sub the sysrexx twice?
Thanks a lot!

Hi all
We want to change a volume id from xx to yy using reformat command.
Our question :
After changing volume id, we online the volume.
Because there are many datasets, do we need to uncatalog each dataset on the
volume and then recatalog them?
Thanks a lot!
Jason Cai
Yes, and if they are vsam or complex vsam structures (AIX etc) it will be quite
complicated.
It is simples to create a volume with the new name and move the datasets to the
new volume. The utility (DMS, DSS, FDR) will take care of the recatalog work.

Kees.

Thank you for your responses. We are now thinking that a problem in the
Xpediter step is the root cause of that SCLM message. The building of Xpediter
DDIO entries are part of our SCLM build jobs. We do not think we have an SCLM
issue at this time.
Another option would be to use a tn3270 emulator that keeps all the
sessions within one window, but have individual session tabs at the bottom
of said window. The one I'm familiar with that can do that is Passport,

I have just completed the update of Xpediter TSO and CICS for a customer. I
didn't have any problems with SCLM builds.

No, it does not allow invocation in AMODE 64. But that can hardly be
important.

We use Keepass extensively; mostly on Linux but also Windoze. The KeyAgent
(ssh private keys) is fantastic.
There are plugins for hooking Keepass into Firefox and Chrome, but I choose
not to expose my keypass database to this kind of thing for security
reasons.
You can "auto type" keypass entry

EE doesn't preclude you from using it ont he same processor complex. In fact,
that's one of the methods in the example where the site has 3 (or 4) LPARs all

Tony,
Based upon the note in the 1.10 migration, it would seem to indicate that
using z/OS 2.2 EE to communicate with a z/OS 1.4 system would be
inadvisable? Or just inadvisable without the ATCSTRxx HPRSESLM=DISABLED?
