As a general rule, I never test software on a production server. that way if the application goes "ka-blewie" you're still up and running and no one is the wiser. Even if you have to use a box that only meets the minimum specs, it's better than putting your good, working server at risk. Troy

We currently have two, full T1 lines thru UUNet and they work just fine. If I do have a problem UUNet has been proactive in contacting me. If anything, it's my local carrier, Verizon, that gives me the most trouble. 99% of all failures I've experienced have been the fault of Verizon's equipment

Yeah, I think that's the better way. As we were looking through the log files we couldn't nail down and one particular, or common, reason for mail delivery failures which makes parsing the log file difficult. The key will be to use a valid email addy to send the email and just wait for the bounces
