I have one client on IMAIl that is having
a problem sending emails. They leave her outbox, show up in her sent box, but
never go anywhere. I have added her IP to the whitelist in declude and it
still wont work. Any suggestions out there?
So how do I fix it?

She should get an error from Outlook. But most likely
She may have to use her ISPs outgoing SMTP server. Or you can open up ort
587 on the server and have her change her sttings.

nothing is actually even logged in the SMTP log. The machine calling the

standalone command line senders that you can use Blat is one that

Then, once again, they are getting blocked
most likely. Have them use her ISPs SMPT server or open up ort 587
on your server and make the changes in her client.

How about getting the user to telnet to your server and to tell you the
response?
If the mailer is sending the message, then to what server is it sending it?

Got it. Bmail works great and easy for this.

If they are windows servers, you can use
a quick script and theCDOSys object.
*nix uxually has a sendmail
executable

If you set EnableExtraPort to 1 does SMTP still listen on 25?
Thanks

Thats kinda like saying you want to call a web server remotely. In order
to 'talk' to it you have to 'speak' the correct protocol.
You could Telnet

Whether you "install" a mail component, or use a
command line utility that you "install" by copying the file to the server, you
have to have _something_ that talks SMTP and references an SMTPserver you
have elsewhere on your network if you don't want one locally.

True. But with blat I have to install (registry changes)
a program. With bmail, I just run a batch file (calling it from another
machine) and its done.
Thanks Again,
Travis
