Re: [IMail Forum] Max Mailbox Size
Hey Todd. Those message size limiters have always worked ok for me. 750MB should be 786432000. I found that IMail likes a close conversion. But I have never tried anything that high. When I used IMail 8.15 I stopped at about 200mb. RE: [IMail Forum] Max Mailbox Size
Thanks Mark. I originally had it set for around 200MB but there were a few of our managers who are hitting that limit and I needed to up it. All of the other virtual domains that I have are about 200MB. I will try your new number and see if that helps us out. RE: [IMail Forum] Max mailbox size
We have seen this same thing. You must increase the virtual host setting to be the biggest you want anyone set to. In my opinion it should use the individual settings, but it doesn't. If you really want those few users to be unlimited, you need to set the virtual host default mailbox size to 0 also. It will read the 60 for the users set that way, then the others will be unlimited. Re: [IMail Forum] Max mailbox size
No, the webmail template doesn't actually work as a quota - if you actually have a 50MB limit, then you would have to set the webmail template separately in order to have that same 50MB limit appear the user. It's really only a statistic (as far as I could see anyway). I noticed it on my account too, but I had over 100MB - and I never had anything pop up that told me I was nearing or past my limit. RE: [IMail Forum] Max Mailbox Size
I am testing Version 7. I am also using HKSI Killer Web Mail. Everything works graet except for one thing taht have got me scratching my haed. If I set up default max mailbox size limit for a host of say 10MB (1000) and I set a individual user Mailbox size limit of 0. Your documentation/help clearly states atht user should therefore inherit host setting of 10MB. This does not happen. The user becomes unlimited. I can set his size as 10, 20, 30MB and it works fine. Any ideas? That is an IMail bug involving the tag that returns the user mailbox size limit to the webpage. We've been aware of it for some time, and made Ipswitch aware of it, but just recently stopped waiting and fixed it ourselves. About an hour ago we released KillerWebMail hotfix 2.0.6, available at http://hksi.net/downloads/ to registered customers, that fixes the problem with a domain-specific config file in which you can set the domain's default size limit. RE: [IMail Forum] Max Mailbox size
Because by default, a mailbox is set to 10K - I needed to change the default so people can get more the 3 or 4 email messages...and I didn't want to set it to 0 or unlimited...:) At 10:03 AM 12/8/00 +0100, you wrote: 5 MB = 5 * 1024 * 1024 = 5242880 Bytes. But why does the exact size matter that much? -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Richard Young Sent: Thursday, December 07, 2000 8:25 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [IMail Forum] Max Mailbox size Okay - help out here - the setting for Default Mailbox size if I wanted it set to 5MB would be - 512000 Bytes - right?
