Hey Todd. Those message size limiters have always worked ok for me.
750MB should be 786432000. I found that IMail likes a close conversion.
But I have never tried anything that high. When I used IMail 8.15 I
stopped at about 200mb.
Cheers
Mark

We have seen this same thing. You must increase the virtual host setting to
be the biggest you want anyone set to. In my opinion it should use the
individual settings, but it doesn't.

If you really want those few users to be unlimited, you need to set the
virtual host default mailbox size to 0 also. It will read the 60 for
the users set that way, then the others
in the individual users' setting. Something like
9 which would be approx 1GB

Don't know what version you're using
: Re: [IMail Forum] Max mailbox size
Don't know what version you're using but ours is set in the
imail/web/config_mailboxsizelimitKB.cgi file. We put a
0 in there and no more problems.

You must modify the config_MailBoxSizeLimitKB.cgi in imail\web
directory.
Edit it with notepad and change the value. It's in Kb. So 10Mb = 1

Unlimited mailbox size was what I had running on 8.05, when I installed
8.10
it changed it to 10mb.
IS THIS why SMPT keeps crashing (related to a queuemgr problem)?
I've changed my settings to unlimited, hopefully my problem (and maybe
yours

I really don't think this is related to SMTP problems. It's been
changed because it's in the WebMail template.
I'm not even sure if it's really working as quota... I have user with

Am I understanding this correct?
If I want to set a users mailbox to 3MB I need to enter it in bytes?

Yes if you consider (as I do) 1MB to be 2**20.
Note that binary stuff expands when encoded so keep that in mind when
people complain about 2.9MB
I am testing Version 7. I am also using HKSI Killer Web Mail. Everything
works graet except for one thing taht have got me scratching my haed.
If I set up default max mailbox size limit for a host of say 10MB
(1000) and I set a individual user Mailbox size limit of 0. Your

5 MB = 5 * 1024 * 1024 = 5242880 Bytes.
But why does the exact size matter that much?

Because by default, a mailbox is set to 10K - I needed to change the

want to set it to 0 or unlimited...:)

1024 bytes = 1 Kbyte. 1024 Kbytes = 1 Mbyte. to be precise, it would be
5,242,880 bytes. i have a 10 MB limit at 1000 bytes
Hope this helps.

1 MB = 1024 KB
1 KB = 1024 Bytes
Thus 5MB = 5 * 1024 * 1024 Bytes
It is 5242880
