Friends, without the fruits, it is difficult to identify. Last year ,
I have so many types of solanum , and solanum viarum had plenty of
spines even on the leaves. They were very sharp and long, this is

lanceolate or triangular lanceolate, entire or toothed. Sepals of
Campanula cana are also supposed to be coarsely toothed. So, I don't
know how toothedness would distinguish the two species.

I was thinking of writing a thanks giving mail to all members for the great
response. And You have done it. Thanks. I am also trying to make a pdf file
for all the apocynaceae members with photo credits. I dont know when it be
materialized. But i have started the work. As
Strange but true. The family does not seem to have been validly published as
search of IPNI or AGP website shows, but there seem to be hundreds of
websites (including Plantsystematics.org) which list this family mostly as
included family of Apocynaceae.

Many of the Pongam trees on Indira Nagar 1st Avenue (Adyar, Chennai) are
flowering now and with yesterday's cyclonic winds one tree seems to have
disgorged all its seeds as well.
I thought Pongam flowering season was March to June?
Has anyone else observed this?
