Hi Group,
A few years back, someone sent me some scripts to personalized my Jaws
startup. I've found that I can't use these scripts in Jaws 10. I'll post
them below. Maybe someone can point out what changes need to be made to
make these scripts work with Jaws 10. I'm just starting to learn

Thank you for the kind words. The fact is I do not know any of the other
folks who run list serves supporting jaws but I wouldn't like to be called

but sometimes when I get on a web page I am already in forms mode and
don't know it.
I have not yet pressed enter, but when I do, it's like I entered on a
continue button.

That is because of this wonderful new feature in JAWS10, you magically
wind up in forms mode, whether you want to be there or not. Don't hit enter;
if you want to be in forms mode, you are already there.

Depends on the web page coding. Google has a habit of this. In JAWS 10 or
later autoforms mode could be to blame. Are you hearing a sound to indicate
forms mode is active?

I find it annoying in some emails jaws reads cell in the beginning of each

see anywhere in the settings where you can make the change apply to any
specific voice. The change should effect all of the voices.

You can always paste a messy message you might have received into a Word
.doc file, then just hit Control H, which is Find and Replace use the
greater sign to find, and leave the Replace blank.
It will leave the message clean of those messy greater signs, and your
recipients
