Dale! I had to take a different route than the one you suggested to find the
highlighted text thingie in the Jaws Configuration Manager [question: why is
it JCF and not JCM?] , but I am afraid that it has not prevented Jaws from
reading the menu or toolbar or whatever it is reading. Great
press eachone alt+enter, then get it in virtuel wiew in ctrl+ins+w, and
read, cut, and it will work.+
God bless!

You cannot run two different versions of JAWS at the same time. So if you
want to switch from JAWS 9 to JAWS 8, you must first unload JAWS 9 and then
launch JAWS 8.

Ok! Gerald,
You are working with a rookie here, how do I unload jaws 9 and then
launch jaws 8, and then how do I get jaws 9 back when I want it back again.

Press Insert + F4 to unload JAWS.
Setting up a hot key for the different versions is the quickest way to
launch them after JAWS has been unloaded. I use the version number as
my hot key example alt, control 9 to launch JAWS 9.
Thanks,
Kurt

What Gerald said is correct. You must unlload Jaws before you start
the next version. Have you set up a hot key for each Jaws version?
If not, move the cursor to the Jaws icon on the desktop and enter
Alt+delete to bring up the properties for each Jaws version.

Albert,
Two things to remember when selecting, copying and pasting, If you move the
cursor after you selected something, the address will be unselected. JAWS

Hi all. I'm using the sixty four bit windows Vista with the latest final
release of jaws ten. When I went to see if the battery was charging with shift
plus jaws key plus b I hear battery status not found. The only way I knew if
it is charging is if I look at the Icon in my system tray. is
That happens to me with xp pro and jaws 10, but it also happened with me
with 6 7 and 9 as well.
I know not why I just usually asume it is charging.
Take care.

It will usually not report battery status when the computer is plugged in
because of the text that the script looks for. You would have to look at the
script to know why, I just forget but you could probably rewrite or modify
the script to read status when the computer is plugged in.
