Hi George,
I tried this and it only seems to deal with updates to the Jaws program
itself, not missing training modules. It said I was all updated, which is
correct for my Jaws version, but I know I have training modules I have not
yet downloaded. With Jaws 14 and before, it was exactly as you
Hi All,
Despite my subject line, this issue occurs in both outlook 2010 and 2013 so ...
There are times when I receive an email with an attachment, but no
matter what I do I am unable to either find or locate that attachment.
Most of the time I have no problem with attachments, either finding or

Hi David,
If you download the training material thru FS Reader, then you can select
only the modules you want.
Also, there is nothing else to do, they will download and install on their
own, no navigation is required.
The help files are installed by default, and are accessible in the usual
I have seen this type of behaviour. I have no idea why but sometimes the
attachment is attached as an attachment but other times it appears as a graphic
in the body of the email. I usally locate with the PcCursor and route the jaws
cursor to the pc and right click on it. It can be tricky
Once I am in attachments, most of the time, I have to tab or arrow to the
link, then press Shift Enter to to try to open it.

I've never tried insert f5 to try and get to an attachment.
I'm curious how the sender is attaching the document when it shows up
as a graphic because no matter what I do, my attachments are always
accessible with jaws.

Thanks, I hadn't heard anything, but that was my next questions. It

I am curious as well. I used to see this more in outlook 2003, I believe then
the attachment stuck where ever you pasted. In outlook 2010 it seems to put it
consistently where we generally find it in the attachments list.

hi:
I'm still waiting for the next update which hopefully will fix the research
it problem.
I'm assuming it's harder than expected, or we'll have to wait for a big
patch which won't probable be available until may or june when the baseball
season is almost half over.
any further news eric?

David,
That's the way I learned and it worked for me.
The instructions I gave were off the top of my head.
Practice makes perfect!
David your students have to learn to hustle.
I'm still hustling every day, there is so much to learn in Jaws.
And this club is the best teacher.
How about file menu / Save attachments?
Another possibility is to ensure that virtual cursor is on, and pressing G
for any embedded graphics.

In the outlook treeview of folders, is there a setting to show how many
emails are in the folder without having to go into each folder. For
example, in treeview, I would like to hear how many messages I have in each
folder.
Thank you very much in advance.

Hello Kimber,
If the Email senders are using Microsoft Exchange and are using the RTF

I tested this software, and it’s pretty jaws compatible. you download it, then

Hi George,
I don't want to belabor the point too much, and I have no problem with the

access the training files with FS Reader 3, users must
Hi,
The best way to do this is use the control key + y. This will open a folder
tree view and you can arrow down the list and it will tell you how many
emails are in each folder. If you want to go to that folder to read the
emails just hit enter on that folder.
