Hi everyone, I have asked this question before, but I have some additional evidence and a question. In three cases I was able to connect to a connection and have my laptop set up to automatically reconnect to this network when I was in range again. On other cases, this has not worked.

Is that router configured not to broadcast it's SSID? This is the name that should appear in the Connect to dialog. If it does not, you will need to enter the SSID manually as well as it's pass phrase. The other possibility is that the laptop is just too far away to make a connection. It
