A registry backup doesnt do any good if the PC wont boot. It is not worth the
risk as there is no real performance gain unless you do
have

All those entries in the registry were simply delete it. If you chose to have a
back up, then your registry file will be there, with all the entries still
intact. However, that is strictly for back up in case something dreadful

registry are not quarantined like viruses or whatever. They are just
"cleared". But maybe you should read the documentation for more details.
