Hi All,

Try the following:
1. With Firefox open go to, Tools / options / Privacy.
2. Do the following 1 at a time see if 1 or both takes care of the
problem. Tab to, Remember my browsing download history, uncheck this
box. Tab again to, remember search form history, uncheck this box.
There are many more options on this tab so, it might take a little
experimenting to fix the problem.
3. Press enter on Okay to save close if there isn't an Okay button
restart Firefox for the changes to take affect.

I am using Windows 7 with Internet Explorer version 11with JAWS 16 (just
upgraded).

My Home Page is GOOGGLE which I use extensively.

My problem is that whenever I enter a new screen on the Internet and down
arrow several times GOOGLE pops up with a list of formerly used search
terms. It is hard to get out of this screen and I often have to
F4 out and start over again.

I find GOOGLE very useful, but I want to choose when I need it. I try
minimizing USING the down-arrow KEY but often forget when exploring an
unfamiliar WEB Page.

How can I prevent this?

My problem is that whenever I enter a new screen on the Internet and down

I find GOOGLE very useful, but I want to choose when I need it. I try

Re: [JAWS-Users] what should I do about windows 10?

2015-06-02 Thread Michael Boyd
According to Eric Damery's post earlier today, JAWS 16 will be ready for
Windows 10 by the late July release date. It is not going to cause any
problems to confirm your desire to get it now. The download will not happen
immediately, and should it come through Windows Update or another means, you
will be able to choose to install it or not at that time.

It won't be available until July 29. I don't know how well it would work
with Jaws 16, you'd probably be better off to cool your jets until Jaws
comes out with Jaws 17.
It's a free upgrade for a year so you don't have to be in a big rush to get

I am using win 7 32 bit and an hp 6520 printer. It does not keep the printer

my document or email to the photo tray. I just started a fairly long print
and walked away the entire document was printed on quite a few photo papers.
I can select plane paper main tray and letter. then ok and apply or apply
then ok it does not matter. It will print where I want. The next time it
prints on photo paper. any suggestions?

Just give the skype number to all the important calls you have to record.

However, this is an optional update, so you may be given the choice of
 installing or not.
Because I like to know what is being installed on my systems, I have

Windows 10 is a 3gb download, so I want to know when it is being

Re: [JAWS-Users] Windows 10 in the system tray

2015-06-02 Thread Trish
hello Rick,

Based on your info here, is it necessary to reserve Window's 10 in order to get
it if I wanted to install it at some future date?
Can it be like just downloaded, but not installed?
I am using Jaws 16, but like someone already said, I too would wait to see how
FS addressed these OS of window's 10, before I made the plunge.

  Hi Liuda,
If you don't want it then there is no need to download it.
This is an optional update, and is not required by Microsoft,it is just
  being offered

  at least 2 months anyway.
The offer stands for one year after the public release.

I am leaning towards saying no.
You will know when it's installing, and you should have speech for that, up
to the first re-boot of the computer.
You just wait awhile, the computer may reboot several times, and then when
it has settled down, the install can be finished using Narrator.
If I were you, I would wait until some others have gone thru the process and

I have already looked at the preview, so I probably will not install Windows

 Hi Jim,
I am leaning towards saying no.
You will know when it's installing, and you should have speech for that,
 up

You just wait awhile, the computer may reboot several times, and then when

Since when does FS offer work arounds for customers who can't afford the
cost of keeping their SMA's up to date? If you want to take advantage of
Windows 10, you will have to upgrade to JAWS 16, plain and simple. On the
other hand, because Windows 7 will be supported until 2020, and Windows
8/8.1 will be supported well beyond that date, there is no hurry to upgrade
to Windows 10 and JAWS 16 as long as your current system still works and
meets your needs.

Hi Jim,
I am leaning towards saying no.
You will know when it's installing, and you should have speech for that,
up
to the first re-boot of the computer.
You just wait awhile, the computer may reboot several times, and then
when

it has settled down, the install can be finished using Narrator.
If I were you, I would wait until some others have gone thru the process
and

tested the waters for you. lol
I have already looked at the preview, so I probably will not install
Windows

10 for awhile,
maybe not until Jaws 17 has been released and FS has a handle on the new
system.

I don't think I've ever had a real installation disk since DOS 7. Everything
has been OEM. I got the Office 2013 disk directly from Ms, at a special price

I hope to upgrade my ISP soon, but I imagine 3GB would be a heck of a file at

Outlook is a part of MS Office, not Windows. Until now, MS has been

My problem is that whenever I enter a new screen on the Internet and down

terms. It is hard to get out of this screen and I often have to
F4 out and start over again.

I find GOOGLE very useful, but I want to choose when I need it. I try

How can I prevent this?
