folder's name and the name of my new document, but it went into my document
files and not into the named folder.

others have suggested that after opening the save as dialog, you can type
the complete path of the file into the filename edit box, for example
c:\user\david\documents\bank\letter,
were bank is a folder in your documents folder, and letter is the name for

Hello Ed,
The starting point is, My Documents.
The folder and file are located in, My Documents.
I do the following steps with the file in question, closed.
I can follow these steps from any folder located in, My Documents.

I think that where you may be going wrong is that for the most part, the\ has
not been used in regard to file routing. I usually see the / being used
instead. For example, JAWS/new folder/file. The backslash, as we remember
