Hi all,
I'm the author of the Jetty MBeans, so I may be able to explain
them a bit more.
Jetty is used in several different JXM frameworks, of which JBoss is
only one of them.
JMX is meant to be a extensible managment framework, so you should not
try to constrain the number or type of MBeans
in the next week or two. Then immediately start a 3.2.A0 stream in
which we can break out the session manager and start playing with this
stuff.

more arbitrary jmx calls can be made.
Again for the cisco deployment, I used a config file format very similar
to that of Jetty's XML - but which was able to call arbitrary JMX methods.

curious to see what kind of scenarios you are talking about that require
these files.

Ask - and almost always you shall receive.
If you want I'll give you access and you can check these
changes in, but if they are just stats changes then I'm happy to do it
my self as it will probably
and
hopefully it will continue to live in the JBoss project (although we may
want to review the duplicate source tree issue).
The intent will be to keep the web container services totally pluggable
