Thanks a lot for your answer, Tony. I tried AquaMail many years ago when they had some issues with privacy and data safety, so I switched to K9 instead. I don't know if AquaMail became "safe" in the meanwhile but since I would have to pay for the Pro version (I have more than 3 accounts) I

Dan's settings didn't change the problem for my Nokia 6 on Android 8.1. I think that maybe the app permissions are causing the problem. Can anyone with a working K9 confirm if K9 got the following permissions: Setting -> Apps -> App Permissions -> Additional Permissions: - Read emails - Read
