I think it was 1998 or there about that I joined. Am not making as much lace
these days but have joined a class that hopes to restart in June (everything
crossed that it does) but I have recently started a piece of torchon
it wet and windy here in Somerset today and so Iâm hoping to make
a start on designing my December challenge piece titled âSummerâ.

I have just got back from a couple of days away to find a lovely lace bauble
and card from Sandra Ward. Really pretty and will hang along side some
other lace decorations on my new 'white tree' that I have recently bought in
hobbycraft.

The pattern comes from 'Motieven in Kleur' by Sebastiana Van Den Herik,
(pictured on the front cover of the book) and I have used the same
design for all the trees including the 'winter' one - I did try to draw
a more wintery shape but decided they would look better all the same. I
just checking that my email is working haven't had any lace list

That's a good idea... I'm working on bucks point fan which is
coming along nicely and almost half done, and also making Russian tape
lace trees.. they depict the seasons and have done Spring (in pink
and pale green threads) and Autumn (Rust, yellow and orange) am working

The lady who designs and sells these patterns is my lace teacher so yes
there are plenty of copies etc for sale. I believe there are some other
patterns of hers on ebay too, for christmas and bookmarks etc. good ones
to look out for :)

probably the 'Roses in Bobbin Lace' although the 'Let's make Bobbin
Lace' is just as much fun. I really like making the pictures, and have

At the momet my 'useful gadget' is a large plastic mixing bowl... I have
just started a Honiton Sampler and have found that my pillow sits nicely
onto the bowl similar to a honiton pillow stand (which I'm hoping to get
for my birthday in May from DH) This makes balancing everything

I am the treasurer of Bromley Lacemakers and I have 25 of these pattern
books. We were selling them originally for £5 each but we are now trying
to get rid of them at the price of £1 each. I am very willing to send
