Hello,
It's been fun to read about people's music likes for lace making. It also
made me realize I'm a little odd. When I work I either put on something
from Netflix (Sherlock, Wallander, Avengers, anime of some kind, etc) or I
play my iTunes which has a huge mix of artists. Examples are U2,

Hello all,
Well the week is over and I hope everyone attending the convention in Salt

uploaded a pic to my flicker of all who came from Arachne, but it's

Hello,
A friend let me borrow some hand outs from a Milanese lace class

I started watching this on Netflix - it's done by the same people who did *

It reminded me too much of something that happened to my mother when she

Hello,
I am going to convention this year because it is being held 45 min from my
home and I'll likely take the local train. I saved up my mad money for a
year to just cover the registration costs and it still ended up being more
than I thought. If I had travel expenses on top of hotel than I

Yep, reticella!
I love this kind of lace. Your picture is good enough that you could
simply lift the pattern off. If you do I recommend sketching it out on a
graph paper before putting it to something to work on.
Good luck! And thanks for sharing

Hello friends,
I'll be attending the IOLI convention this year (1st time) and I'm debating

I got a bunch of large bobbins with a couple of kits...I don't know if they
are a specific type of bobbin, but the ladies in my area call the
clunkers. They are 5+ inches long and use them to do Idrija lace all the
time...though I don't use a bolster. I tried and my bobbins got tangled
too much.

Most of the ladies in my guild have small samples in a 3 ring binder. They
