Although it has some nice needlelace fillings I donât think itâs from
Branscombe. My understanding of Branscombe lace is that it always includes
the little nibs on the bars and sometimes around the edge. Nibs are a type of
picot made by working buttonhole stitches over a loop of thread.
This weekend - November 7 and 8 - the Metro Chapter of IOLI will hold its
annual lace day. It will again be at the Westwood Elks Club on Kinderkamack

there if often a need to end a portion of the lace before starting another
section, such as in Milanese. Â I find that my laces that are face down have a
flat look to them when turned over, such as Russian tape lace

Actually Veronika Irvine, one of the authors of this paper
I'd guess she is not just one of the authors but the major author, the other
author one is just her supervisor.
Veronika also has a computer code based on her work (DiBL - Diagrams
for Bobbin Lace), see
on a
45 degree grid, and simpler to work when making Torchon-type laces. I would
encourage you to consider the triangle design as a simple way for Veronika
to demonstrate variations of lace grounds.
