I would create an event called Note (or whatever you want to call it) and transcrihe or summarize the relevant portion(s) of the e-mail into the Note field of the event. I would definitely NOT transcribe it into the details field of the source citation because (1) I would have scans (I presume

From Family View clicking on to Name List icon for some people doesn't work properly. This works normally for 90% of my individuals. For about 10% if I am in Family View and click the Name List icon it takes me to the top of the Name List. Actually it depends on where the cursor was in the name

I agree with you wholeheartedly, Jenny. As I see it, events and sources support different phases of the genealogical research process. The source citation is where I record the raw data while in the event is where I write my narrative. Therefore, I would cut paste the e-mail into a source

Jerry, Just be a wee bit careful with the missing sources search - I don't think it is working reliably. If you have a file where every entry is sourced, and you check the ANYTHING meaning that one or more items do not have a source, you may get a whole list of names, all of which are already
