June,
You can unlink someone and therefore unlink their whole branch.
eg if you have a SMITH grandfather and you right click on him and unlink
from spouse, then you will have unlinked all his SMITH ancestors and
their families from your main tree - but they will still all be linked
together.
On my tree I have a direct line that I will call SMITH. Unfortunately within
this Smith group there are several called John (all born around the same
time) several called Michael (all born around the same time) etc many of
these being cousins or second cousins.
I have a feeling that I have put
If you can't resize your Legacy window, check the window options next to

window, it bounces or can't be changed.

I maintain two lists on Mailman and haven't had a problem in a while.
Here's the standard reply I would post when someone did have a question
about it.
This discussion still comes comes up every once in a while, but it's not

I am only receiving replies to original posts. The original posts are not
in the "in box" nor in the "spam" folder.
Where are the original posts going?

The snapping to full window is a feature of Windows 10 isn't it? My

This action is required because of the DMARC Reject/Quarantine Policy

Terry,
I use the Index list almost exclusively. If you put your cursor in any
search box, it sorts by that column.

Hi Pat,
I have the same problem and basically, I just keep at it until it
cooperates. Moving the downsized window to the left a bit seems to help.
I think part of the problem is that some features do not compress very
well. The index is one of them. The size of the columns and the amount

Since having Windows 10 problems and establishing a new user, I am having a
problem with viewing Legacy 8 (deluxe edition) in that it takes up almost
the entire screen.
When I attempt to reduce the size by dragging a side, it simply bounces
back to the previous large size -- I can find no help in

No, the encapsulating of messages has nothing to do with the format of
the email. It is solely due to new rules imposed by some ISPs (yahoo.com
being the most prominent) which have broken the usual way for an email
list to re-transmit messages to list members. All email from those ISPs

That worked. Thank you. And I appreciate the explanation about why it
needs to be reset from time to time as well. Have a fabulous week

There are mailing lists and message boards to cover any possible subject on
ROOTSWEB. Also forums like ROOTSCHAT with lots of categories of subject.
I don’t know where you are but soc.genealogy.britain is still quite active on
USENET and sure there are similar for other areas as well more
Hi Kathy,
I expect what Cathy has suggested will solve your problem. Please let us
know how you get on with it.
Legacy does not calculate relationships on the fly any more, as it did
in previous versions. It's too complicated, and would slow the program
down considerably. It can do some,

check out the Rootsweb Mailing lists now that Rootsweb is back up after
