Nothing's wrong with your lftp. lftp currently doesn't support the -R flag

I put the ftp:ssl-allow off to make sure it will be the same as you.
There, it obviously worked in active mode. Can you also put the debug 9
command in your script so we could see what's happening?

See how it is rotated each time? So lftp shouln't have to randomize
anything. However, it has to try every addresses in order, until one of
them successfully connect. (That what's specified in the RFC btw)

In all cases, hftp is like http browsing. When doing a listing request,
the proxy will format it into a beautiful html, and I'm not sure that lftp
will parse "temp
