Hey guys,
I'm glad to see that activity is really picking up again for licq
development. One feature I'd really like to see in the new Licq is the
ability to have meta-contacts, that is, a contact in the contact list that
has multiple IM accounts. I have many people in my contact list

I *really* don't like this behaviour, it is totally broken. Since when
should the enter key do anything other than enter a newline? "Since
microsoft msn messenger does it!" I hear you cry. Well sor

Hey, _if_ anyone volunteers to do this, please make it configurable. I
am probably not the only one who prefers the ctrl-enter alternative.
Just my $.02.

Hello,
could you make licq support sending messages by pressing the enter key? That
would be great.
Thank you!

Hi all!
I'm user of enlightenment windowmanager and so i use trayer for systray

the only issue with it is that trayer/fbpanel isn't able to grab up the

Hello,
I'd like to have the possibility to save my auto response locally (by a

Mostly my licq is shut down because of some bugs(or has to be killed),
then my auto-response is set to the one I had on last

Hi,
There's no need for this, there already exists a message to tell the
remote to open a connection to you called "reverse connect" in my
patch. No need for Licq to invent a new Licq specific message.

Hi,
I've got an idea how to improve secure channel functionality in LICQ.
Many users are behind firewall and/or NAT box and thus you can't open
secure channel to them. So i suggest adding a client-to-client message
telling the other side to open secure channel to us. I'm not behind a
firewall (
One suggestion.. Maybe use the "Scroll Lock" led for this purpose. I
have a sneaky suspicion that if "Number Lock" or "Caps Lock" are used you
will wreck havoc on the users, not to mention if they are laptop users.

Ok, I've had a few more positive responses so I've started work on a plugin.
I've got a basic version going, it turns a LED on when a message comes in and
turns it off when you open the message to read it.
I've just noticed that when I lo

Yes, qt-gui marks messages as read

I thought about that, but is it possible to detect when the user has opened a
message to read it? I'm using the qt-gui plugin, so ideally I would like the
scroll lock LED to turn on when I hear t

Hi,
I was just wondering whether it'd be possible to get LICQ to illuminate one of
the keyboard LEDs (like Scroll Lock, for instance) when there's an incoming
message. That way you could see if there's a message waiting to be read even
if you didn't hear the sound for whatever reason.

Nope. I wouldn't get messages from people I'd like to know. Licq needs to
auto-delete on exit users not _manually_ added to the contact list. That's
what I need.

If someone sends you a spam then hold the control key while you close the
message window and they'll be gone.

I don't know if this is a solution to your problem - but when I get spam
(I hardly ever get any nowadays, maybe one or two every month or so), i
just hold down ctrl when i hit close, it then asks if i want to delete
the user.

Hello,
Does somebody knows how to add 'check spelling' feature to licq ?
It seems it should be too hard to add this. I saw it in the large number of
KDE programs and think there is already libs for this purpose are done
already.
What do you think about this ?

Shouldn't any such modifications be done at the licq level, and not the
GUI plugin? Just a thought...

There alreay exist a plugin for this, licqgpg.
If you follow this URL you might find it:
http://www.uni-karlsruhe.de/~us3k/
if you already have a patch, you might want to merge those projects
since the goals are the same. And I don't know if licqgpg is compatible
with the windows plugin.
