i having problems with hebrew in console..
sometimes it work perfect
sometimes it not work at all (writing me some junk)
sometimes it work partially (some hebrew letters and some junk)
i wrote some little utility that print all chars from 0 to 255.. and

I solved it in very easy way..
just add a scsi cdrom support as module to the kernel.. and viala..
it will work
the problem becuse all IDE cdr are emulating scsi throo ATAPI/IDE
