then re-insert it...it works. So something is not being re-initialized
properly

Shows that hotplug is selecting usbnet for your device. So somehow
the hotplug process is working for you (it doesn't for me).

I new here on this email list. I have a Sharp SL-5500 PDA that *used*
to work on my system. I've done something (stupid) to my system such
that I can no longer get the USBNET connection to work. I'm trying to
