So far as I know all CDR's work in linux with SCSI emulation not sure if others work directly with ATAPI. But Dragon PC www.dragonpc.co.nz has an Aopen 40x12x48 for $160, which seems like a bargain. My flatmate bought one and got it to work okay, and I intend to get one of these when i've

The Aopen writers get good and bad reviews on the net. On the forums people sware by them.. and then others can't stand them. If your going with scsi make sure the card works/has support under linux. But the IDE one are near perfect now and burn at alot faster speeds eg under 3.5 mins for
