I am creating some documentation using the Article layout that needs to be
exported in both HTML and PDF format.
A typical Makefile entry looks like:
solaris-security: solaris-security.lyx
lyx --export latex solaris-security.lyx
latex2html -split 4 -show_section_numbers solaris-security.
I was trying to revise the LyX guide I've been writing to explain how to
get non-ps images into a LyX document. I went through the normal Insert
- External Material - Rasterized image procedure. No problem - the ugly
grey box came up as expected. However, when I the clicked on the box and

Hi,
I am using LyX 1.1.6fix1.
Currently I am writing a report for university and have a document
structure that basically looks like this:
Part 1
Part 2
- Part 2.1
- Part 2.2
- Part 2.3
Part 3
Now I need one main table of contents for the whole document
looking as follows:
MAIN-TOC:
Part 1 ..
[fichier joint : testmarge.lyx 13020 octets]
I enclosed with this email a test lyx file with the reverse margin note.
It works with times fonts, but if I try to change the entire document to
helvetica fonts (Format-->Document-->Font properties) nothing happens.
I then select all the text and I d
I've fixed the problem; i had to get the cvs of sgml-tools lite
from sgmltools.org. However, it still sticks the files
in a tmp directory that you have to dig out yourself
but at least it works.

Does anyone know how to create a table of contents in docbook layout
using lyx?
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
I'm using LyX 1.1.5 fix2.
I learn from the manual that I can do multi-part doc, and the trick to cross-
ref between different parts. They work. However, one thing bothering me is
that when I make some changes in one sub-doc, switch to master doc, and do
'update dvi', LyX does not do any th

I did, please see my last posting.
Should I now send a bug report to lyx-developers, or can you help me with
this issue?
Thank you,

Maybe such a trivial thing could go in the LyX distribution as well...

Hi,
i'm not sure, but when using vref in tex i somtimes get a similar
error. This is because the reference is around a page break and
LaTeX can't decide which kind of reference it has to use.
Using normal ref and pageref solve this problem.
Maybe this is also with texref? I never used texref in

Is it possible to refrence an existing footnote instead of creating a
new footnote?
I tried labeling the foot note then cross-refrencing to it. That
actually worked except the cross-refrence was regular size text and not
superscripted like a regular footnote.
I've looked for a superscript me

I am using the algorithm float in LyX together with the listing package.
Most things work as I want them to use. So I am able to change the float's
name as well as the name of the list of floats with these commands in the
LyX preambel:
\floatname{algorithm}{XYZ}
\renewcommand{\listalgorith
I would like to know if it is possible to create a document wich has 2
columns of different width, for exemple a wide column at the right side
of the page, approx 13 cm wide, and a smaller one of 4 cm at the left
side. The main text would be in the main column, and the left column
would be used on
