Hi,
I am installing the latest MikTeX version (2.9). What is to do to make
LyX use the new version? Is it enough to change the path in the
settings to C:\Program Files\MiKTeX 2.9\miktex\bin which would be
pretty easy?
Thx.

There are some discussions in mailing lists about using TeXshop as a DVI viewer
e.g.
View DVI now opens texshop and it displays as a pdf (dvi seems to be
converted to pdf by TexShop, is this expected ?).
This seems to be consistent with the comments from various mailing lists.
I also wonder why I would want to output dvi
and not pdf. View PDF and Update PDF with preview.app
I am not familiar with this package but I wonder whether it will work
if you use the full path to the .MSF file?
I found the solution, it was just a blank space in the path.
It works now.
