Hi Michael, There's a lot going on in your example, but what's causing problems (if everything else worked before) might be just that you haven't set the path to your .bib file in the right way. Path names in Linux are case sensitive (yours begins with /Home, which is almost always /home), and

Hey all, I am using lyx to write my thesis. Everything is ok except one problem. When I see the pdf output, the width of the text on the page is too narrow. The PDF text covers only about 50% of the width of the page. Because of this, my thesis is elongated to many pages than it will actually be.

Can I print an automatic character count?

I need to put a character count on my front page. Is there a way to do this automatically with Lyx / TeX /...? Using Lyx 1.6.0, OSX 10.5.5, MacTex 2008 (kept pretty much up to date). - - Jonas Ørting
