Hello,
With all the excitement of QT front-end, I decided to try it, but encountering
few problems. Just FYI that I read the INSTALL, README and ANNOUNCE files. I
am using RedHat 7.3 so all the existence binaries for RH 8.0 (lyx and

See http://www.aitel.hist.no/~helgehaf/sw/sw.html for a patch that
lets lyx (1.3.0 and 1.2.x) include files from subdirectories.
This is useful mainly when writing something large, like a book.
The patch makes it possible to have different chapters (or parts)
in different subdirectories. This is

I use Lyx ver 1.2.3 on cygwin XFree 86 with Windows XP Professional
On trying to run runlyx.bat I get:
1. the x windows screen
2. a bash terminal
and
3. the message:
!Alert Lyx wasn't able to find any layout description. check the contents
of file textclass.lst

Hello SuSE LyX-ers
I uploaded an rpm for SuSE 8.1 compiled with the qt frontend against
qt3. This file will hopefully soon be available in the bin directory of
ftp.lyx.org/pub/lyx/. For the impatient, you can also get it from
http://nf-pro.sckcen.be/download/lyx-1.3.0-1.i386.SuSE-8.1-KDE3.1-qt3.
Hello,
I've just finished installing Lyx-1.3.0 and intend to check it out.
However, I've had one problem of installing Lyx with the thesaurus. I
installed Aiksaurus (Aiksaurus-0.15-1rh80.i386.rpm from the Lyx ftp
site). However during the make process Lyx complained that it couldn't
find /usr/
Hi,
Thanks for suggestion, but it did not work.
I am using Lyx 1.2.0 on two machines ... Wintel and Linux.
On neither machine does the procedure of multi-part document files
produce the correct bibliographic entries.
Case 1: If each chapter is compiled separately, then the bib entries
are number

You need to add some ttf fonts. A tarball and RPM should be availabl
Hi guys, hopefully some of you will know a bit more about font issues than I
do (which is null) .
I just compiled lyx with qt support: amazing! until I found that I
couldn't see properly the math fonts. Why? Well, that's the question that I
made myself.
At last, I discovered that if I di
Hi,
During installing Lyx 1.3.0 I get following error during "make":

make
