Rick, You are RIGHT! I have spent hours going through almost 5,000 pictures using the faces feature and am almost done. Previously I had done as you and listed combinations of people in the description area of the photo and could search the keywords for just those two. I had not

well, after some work, I've discovered that if you remove the individual names from the Faces cork board (thereby eliminating all our hours of work) then the behavior goes back to the default search of keywords. sigh. and iPhoto still won't write the keywords or gps info to the actual

John, yes. it appears that if you change the names to something other than actual names (i.e. #1, #2, #3, etc.) Then you can still use the keyword search in the proper manner. of course, after changing the names in the Faces tab, typing #2 #3 in the search field does not give you photos

Rick, You have accomplished a lot in a short time and your suggestion as to the good of Faces is well taken. If a person wants the combinations that you and I have done in the past then Faces may not be the right option. If you are wanting to go through your database quickly then faces
