Do you have an audible account? I've noticed that just going to audible doesn't seem to cause it necessarily. If you have an account and it tries to sign you in automatically it crashes. Also it sometimes will go to the site but when you start to navigate through it it will crash. Oddly if

The menu option isn't there, but the way I plan to do it is, boot from the dvd, go to utilities and choose disk utility, erase the drive, then install the new operating system. Of course, before I do this, I will do a complete backup to my external hard drive, and I already have backups

My guess, based on the Leopard install, is that regardless, you should be able to have a fresh install if you choose. It'll just archive your old Leopard installation and let you start fresh. You can then delete the archived OS if you wish. I do not know this for certain, it is only a
