Wow, this is compicated to explain. The vo:j command jumps between major areas of a window. In mail if you have both the messages panel and maibboxes panel open, it skips one of the panels, and just jumps between toolbar, mailboxes and message list. So, you can close the, mailboxes panel, or

Also finding that the VO+shift+M menu does not always react, and requires turning VO off and back on to re-engage. This reminds me of the old focus issues with keyboard in JAWS. VO seems to lose focus and needs a little kick in the butt to wake it up. Been happening on Mojave all along. Dave

I will describe to you what I do to achieve this on macbook air. Whilst in a mailbox, interact with the list of messages. Then press fn+vo+shift+left arrow to go to the first row of the table of messages and fn+vo+right arrow to go to the last row in the table of messages. hope this helps.
