Well if that is possible then I might consider Fusion.

So there were steps provided earlier from a lister on how to use bootcamp.

It will ask you how large you want the bootcamp partition to be.
I think you have voiceover support here.
It is a slider to adjust how large the mac partition is vs. the windows
partition.
How much should be
It's the users choice. It's not ram. It all depends on how large your hard
drive is!
Good luck!

Ok, one hd is 750 and the other is 320. The latter is my windows machine.
Yep, user's choice. I will figure it out from there.
Off to the races!
I'll report back once I am done with this and let yall know if I sunk or

True, but if one is having problems with VMWare, Bootcamp can be an accessible
solution. Windows also seems to run faster under Bootcamp.

I'm going to start the bootcamp today or tomorrow after work. I'm just
gathering all of the notes people are sending and go from there. I hear
people saying its slow to switch from one to the other but I skyped with
someone the other day and when he switched, it was pretty quick if I say so
Or depending on how much ram and processor speed you have. I am running fusion
on my 2011 27 inch iMac, with 16 gig of ram, a 3.4 GHZ processor, and I have 6

way to go if you can afford it.

Hi is it possible to have both options? i have vmware fusion at the moment but
bootcamp might be handy if i want to do something intensive with windows.
vmware is great for just doing something small in windows. Can i use the same
windows 7 cd to get bootcamp up and running?
step by step
I believe that you will need a license for both systems.
I can try to create a podcast of steps.
but here is what i remember.
1. have your windows disk ready.
2. Go to utilities and bootcamp.
3. start bootcamp and it will walk you through a wizard.
It will ask you if you want to create a windows
Hi,
I finally have or found time to get started on this project of sort. Can
someone tell me the different ways to do this. I understand one way will
cost and the other might require visual assistance, which is fine but I want
to run my mac and windows 7 machine side by side.
Thanks.

I run mine with boot camp. It doesn't run within Mac OS.
VMware fusion costs 50$ but it shares recourses with your Mac.
Hope that can help!

Hi. If it is an OEM copy of windows, it probably won't work. If it's a
microsoft developer version or a retail version, you should have no
issues assuming you have your product key handy.
Installing windows via bootcamp and having a dual boot system is a
better idea than running windows virtually

I have run windows both in bootcamp and in VM Fusion. Both have
advantages so I don't think you can say for sure bootcamp is better. Currently
I'm running my Macbook pro with VM Fusion and Windows 7. I have many

Yes running it virtually will work and you do have the advantage of
being able to switch from mac OSX to windows without a restart.
However, my main issues with running windows virtually is that running
both operating systems side by side taxes your ram and processor a lot
more and could also
Hi,
It's an OEM copy.
I just want to put all of my eggs into one basket and just work off the mac
an quickly shift over to windows when need be.
So, let's go step-by-step I need to download bootcamp first right?
Boot camp needs to be used on the mac machine?

Hi,
in your finder, press command shift U. This will land you on your utility
folder. In this folder is the bootcamp assistant. Run this. By the way, I
think this was mentioned earlier in the thread but, you will need to get a
retail or builder copy of windows.
