Upon further reading, it appears that HTML streams such as this one are not
compatible with iTunes. The Open Stream item in iTunes has restrictions to
iTunes compatible formats. So, Podcasts and/or iTunes Radio sorts of streams
will work but Flash based streams embedded in web content

I guess this will work much better.
I’ve never had any issues with the flash cards but normally i use my Linux
machine for transfering to the stream.
It works better in my experience.

mode or using an internal or external Mac card reader, you manage the storage

with a Mac. I routinely use the card slot on my Mac to load books from
Audible, Bard and Bookshare. I think you could also download podcast to the
Victor Reader Stream if you wanted to do so.

All you do is format the card on the Stream itself, so it has all the right
folders, and use the Mac to do the copy. SD cards do tend to break after a
while, though I have one that managed 6 years.

The short answer is "yes."
You simply insert your SD card into the SD card slot.
This is done by inserting the SD card into the plastic adaptor, then
sliding this into the SD slot on your computer.
The macintosh will automatically recognize the SD as an external drive.

Ok, I didn't think I'd ever need anything like this, but can anyone recommend a
program that will capture the video as well as the audio portion of an internet
stream? I'm wanting to record at least the first portion of our on line church
service, sense my 4-year-old lov
Sure, but if you're recording a stream that's being played via Safari, you'd
best not leave that page, but rather open another tab or another window. Also,
be sure you don't have some other browser window playing sound, else it will
get recorded too.

source is [whatever program], several are already predefined, then check
"Hijack" and "Record" in the toolbar. Super easy.
