The thing is that i can't see any indication of what firmware i have and how to

When I'm at the bottom of the html area I turn off cursor tracking [just for
anyone who does not know] with VO+shift+f3 then all I have to do is arrow
through the last message that was sent and just to reply just start typing

If you go to settings, and then General, Accessibility, VoiceOver, and then
rotor, there is a setting for vertical navigation. It's turned off unless you
select it. If you do, it goes on the rotor, on the i devices, of course.
