Thanks Matthew for the suggestion. I had not tried that one but still no joy.
There were two options available, Edit which more or less did a VO-space and
Show Menu which was the same as a VO-shift-m bringing up a Contextual menu.
Certainly worth a try though.

Here’s a way to rename a table in the new Numbers.
• Navigate to cell A1.
• Bring the mouse.
• Turn on Mouse keys.
• Press 8 until you hear something like “A reference tab.
• Press ‘i’ 3 times.
• Turn Mouse Keys off then type the new name for the table.
The same trick works in the new Pages.

gives you a file browser containing a .pkg file which is an installer package.
You open this with Cmd-o and follow the instructions, but mostly, you go to the
last visible item and click Continue over
Did you try opening the disc image file to see what was inside? There might
have been more than the app itself.

can change the names of subsequent tables but not the first one. I guess I
might be able to name second and third tables then delete the first table as a
workaround.
For Table 1, this is what’s going on.
