In grid view, you can play an episode by moving vo to it and pressing
vo-space.
To use list view: with vo on the grid, move it to the popup menu with
vo-left and vo-space.
In the popover, move vo to the left until you get to a table then interact
with it.

There are two things about the chapter navigation in iBooks for Mavericks I

In OS X you have a menubar at the top of the screen. Underneath it there
is the desktop. Usually at the bottom of the screen is the doc. The
menubar and doc are always on the screen, but the window content and menu
