For the complete picture on all things Ordnance Survey GB check out the web
site (http://www.ordsvy.gov.uk). That will give you a pretty good picture of

Dear Peter
It's a transformed file format from AutoCAD dwg format to a format used
at the net, fx can cadViewer Light read and present this format. Search
at net for cadViewer or dwf to find readers and the like. Hope this

Hello
i'm having a few problems importing from mif/mid in MI 4.5.2 (yes i know
but they won't buy me 5.5).
the files in question were created using an in house utility that builds
them from Atlas GIS Bna format files.
At the moment it will import approx 100 records before i get an error

I hoping you or someone could help me. I'm using a whole suite of MapInfo
products. I'm constantly being asked how these products compare to ESRI
products. I was looking for some type of comparison between the two
companies products. The MapInfo products which I currently use are:

Hello,
I think the explanation you are looking for used to be on the FTP-site
(http://www.directionsmag.com/mapinfo-l/IndexFiles.htm), but I couldn't find
it there anymore. There were some files detailling the generation of

Hi everyone anyone. I have two questions
1.) Does anyone know of an utility to transfer thematic map styles to the
original data file. I'd like to be able to save the thematic
representation without using workspaces.
2.) Does anyone know of an MBX that stores Metadata internally in a tab

Many thanks on this. I knew I wasn't a complete fool on this despite the odd

offer such a "package" for single seat spatial
Hi David,
I propose to you WorkspaceControl, a tool very interesting for the
workspaces in
MapInfo. You will be able easily to modify the repertories of your
tables with this
program. Try it!!
WorkspaceControl is available at : www.4thbeachsoftware.com

As you may be aware the data from the USGS's 1:24,000 scale maps is

I recently moved all of our tables from a C:\ drive to a M:\ drive.
Since the *.wor can be opened and read in Word, I used the search and

and table names and types can be changed here also. Don't erase a line
though,
Tony,
Thanks! It seems that we had a variable declared as decimal 8,0 and the DB
Admin changed the field to 10,0 without telling anyone causing the overflow
to occur. Go figure! I guess it always pays to look at the data before
running programs. I'll pass this along to my programmers.
I just posted a question along the same lines, with regards to overflow
errors when appending tables. The error is most definitely happening during
the insert statement, although I'm waiting to hear back too. My only guess
is that it has something to do with a max number of records you can have
