Dear Mary,
Thank you for your excellent reading suggestions.
Your "Metadata for All" paper points out very rightfully one of the main
challenges to achieving our interoperability goals: a legacy that is
very specific to museums, which have never found a practical interest
in standardization.

I agree that CIDOC-CRM is gaining popularity. It is also great to know

Count me in to the SIG. I'm glad to see that Europeana and DPLA were mentioned
in that session outline, but as slides amply showed this is a much bigger topic
that "just" getting datasets from different CHOs to talk together more happily.
That said there's plenty to learn from those efforts,

Hi Stephano
I'd be interested in following the discussion from afar (NZ). You might also be
interested in the work of the National Digital Forum here in NZ. For over 10
years it's been bringing GLAMs (we add a G for Galleries) together to talk all
things digital, audience, engagement etc. The
This is a fantastic idea and I would love to join in. For the past year we've
been working on integration of our archives at Carnegie Museum of Art and it
was encouraging to hear all the discussion on this topic at MCN. There is so
