My C140 never had any water leak into the area in question (yes, the PSE
pump on the C140 is located in the same area under the rear passenger side
seat). It's been through quite a few downpours too.

We have 2 140's. In our experience the answer is a steady zero.

I think the question is whether the shop left the car outdoors with something
open, or whether the water was there all along but the shop had the misfortune
of being in possession when expensive electrical components died from it.
Somebody at the shop knows the true answer, but they'll say
None. Never seen or heard of a 140 with a sunroof leak yet unless it was left

I should have been a bit more specific in my question [you know how
imprecise we liberal arts majors can be]. The drains around that

sunroof [I believe all of them leak]. With the torque on the body

Did you check around the back glass seal? Not saying that was it, but
that is occasionally a weak point for water leakage into the trunk/back
seat area on these cars (in general). My suspicion is that someone
drove the car around, left a window down, it rained a lot, and it pooled
back
Are the electronics up front (center console) ok or did the dealership replace
parts there too? nbsp; From the shops perspective, I would question the sunroof
being the source IF the only water found was under the rear seat. nbsp;It
doesn't seem possible that water would not be under the front
It would be a simple calculation atnbsp;http://ga.water.usgs.gov/edu/sc2.html
Try their calculator with the dimensions of your sunroof opening.

Tie rods are the same, drag link and bushings are the same, but ball
joints are MUCH more work and you have to deal with the possbility of
worn out thrust links on the W126 rather than a simple control arm
bushing replacement (or control arm replacement, since it's cheap).

I need to look at the suspension bits and the relevant manual sections,
