I doubt that is the problem, as this baby has been under cover and
babied over the past dozen or so years. I will check the little
grille on the dash for suction, however. I swapped in another klima
relay this morning so she can test it on the road later today.

BTW, my 91 350SDL heating/cooling had a hunting problem somewhat like that
about a year and a half ago 'til I installed new kit in monovalve. 'Noticed
you've found your monovalve to be in good condition. 'Hope new KLIMA fixes

I'm thinking of unloading my '83 300D. It's been a good car, and I've
certainly gotten my money's worth out of it, but I have too many cars
and too little time.
It has a good engine and transmission (B2 replacement done), but the
front end will need a rebuild, it's rather sloppy and noisy. AC
Oh and it's also missing the passenger side interior door latch handle
(scavenged for use on my 300SD) but that should be pretty easy to find
in a yard (or from Kaleb?).

Anyone know of a good ballpark rule of thumb to estimate what I might
get based on weight? Depending how they pay I might let a charity take
them and take the tax deduction.

Where were you stationed, KI Sawyer? We used to see bombers and tankers from
that base fly over our home in central Wisconsin frequently. There were hills
and high country in that part of the state; we speculated that the low level
bomber passes were training to avoid radar.

The 601/602 engine thermometer sender is on the thermostat housing. Just a
single contact sticking out, check it and the socket for clean contact.
If it's not that, it is meter and ground tango time.
