If you used brad point or tiny Forstner bits to drill out the corners first to
get the proper radius it probably wouldn't be difficult to rough out the rest
of the hole if you were careful.

I am not enamored of the classic center. They are elitist and do not support

a part with a more elitist vehicle, you can pay multiples of the value of your

I am forever trying to find decent wood work for my TE but it's hard.
For instance the stuff in Oz is usually sunburnt and the varnish
cracks/fades.
The UK is a good source but most 124's didn't come with A/C hence no
hole for the controls. Or the bottom bit has no holes for power windows.
Ah, but don't discount the difference the driver makes! I routinely drove
away from 4WD Jeeps and trucks on the ice at stop signs in OKC in my first
FWD car - the '74 Saab Sonnett. It was very light, but capable in the
slippery stuff. Then again, I never had much trouble with the V8 MGA either.
Cut from top, shiny side. Stay away from edge 'cept for fine filing, etc.
Drill, cut, file inward of shiny, finished surface; cutting outward will
chip shiny surface, possibly more that you want, i. e., bigger than desired
hole.
Yeah, practice on an old one if possible.

Speaking of Cessnas reminds me:
One evening in early winter of 1978, while I was Director of Engineering at

classical music when Base Commander called and asked me to go over to the

Go with the Michelins. Top rated tires and well worth the cash. I would love
a set, but they do not come in my size.
Conti has gone down hill in quality and tire dealers do not like them. Too
many defects and little manufacturer support, so dealers rate them low in
survey. Could be good
