Makes sense, just north of Whiteman AFB. Spent some time there doing stuff with
the B-2 boys and girls. Interestingly, I saw more women on perimeter security
there than at any other Air Force base I ever visited. Not sure why, just
seemed interesting.

If you might need the car to evacuate from a hurricane or EMP event, get
the kit and get'r done.
Much easier to do now with the transmission out of the car, you can be sure
of cleanliness and fit etc.

needs that and K1 spring done unless I breakdown and convert it to a
real transmission.
I've been reading about the accursed B2 piston for years and found this

B2 failure results in reverse only and no forward motion. Run, don't
walk, from a sick 140. You really don't want to attempt the Gump bit on
a CAN-bus car.

Call Rusty. I did the B2 on my '83 300D and ordered a "kit" which had
all the parts, but I'd bet he could tell you the part number of that
seal and probably send it to you as well assuming it is available
separately from the kit.

I send the follwing Email earlier to a different list and got a kind answer
from Larry T. who has a good guess about the problem my 81 300SD is facing. He
suggested to join this list and bother you guys with my tech problem.. So here
we are. Any reply is greatly appreciated
Start with a Mobile 1 ATF fluid/filter change. That cured my CD which had
a slipping trans until the speed was above 15-20mph. I'm a believer.

Offer half, since he smoked too much, the tranny is shot and the car is
not worth more than asking price in the condition stated, even if it
ran. There is a tranny in the PnP up in Lynnwood on a 300D. Bound to
have parts enough there to make it run well and cover the interior
issues.
