None of those studies are controlled for reduction in trans fats, so they are meaningless. In the stuff I read, there is a single study done some time ago (drug company funded) that indicates there is any effect on longevity, the others do not show any significant effect. None of them control

I keep hearing that statins are safe, effective, and well tolerated. Somehow I can't wrap my head around a drug being well tolerated when 52% of those prescribed it suffering from severe enough side effects to have to stop taking it, and some of those side effects can be quite severe. Gotta
